Internal Communications, Employee Engagement, and Social Media Management

At Universal Studios Hollywood, digital content is a big part of the internal communications team. We are focused on keeping Team Members informed and engaged with the latest news, events, and opportunities across the Park. In addition to managing Team Member social channels (like IG and FB), we also lead our LinkedIn strategy to showcase the employee experience and highlight HR-driven initiatives. Our team also manages content for emails, newsletters, back-of-house break room digital screens, and our newly launched intranet, Team Universal.

Current results

  • Lead ideation and production of video content, driving a 178% increase in engagement across LifeAtUSH channels.

  • Manage high-impact campaigns, boosting video engagement from 5% to 11% through strategic content planning and innovative storytelling.

  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to create compelling digital stories, highlighting the unique experiences of Team Members and driving follower growth.

  • Publish marketing campaigns, collaborating with intellectual property (IP) partners to ensure content alignment and maintain brand consistency across all platforms.

  • Continuously monitor social metrics, optimizing content strategies.

  • Develop and execute a new LinkedIn strategy focused on showcasing career opportunities and company culture, significantly increasing visibility and engagement on Universal Studios Hollywood’s LinkedIn.

  • Engage over 10,000 Team Members through targeted email communications and internal intranet stories, ensuring timely and impactful messaging across the organization.

  • Author and distribute content for internal communications, promoting key initiatives and celebrating employee achievements, strengthening the internal community.

  • Support employee events such as Team Member Preview Nights, screenings, seasonal celebrations, and networking opportunities by crafting communications and developing promotional materials.

  • Write and edit engaging content for internal newsletters and the company intranet, ensuring consistent tone and messaging that align with organizational priorities.

  • Continuously monitor social metrics, optimizing content strategies for both LifeAtUSH Instagram/Facebook and Universal Studios Hollywood LinkedIn to enhance interaction and reach.
